Hey, girls, I'm so happy you're joining me today. Wherever you are, and whatever you're doing, I hope that you're enjoying your week, enjoying your day. And I hope that is everything that you could imagine that it would be. So, in this week's episode, I am doing something that I just have been wanting to do for a while now. And that's just to encourage you this week. I am encouraging you to love on you. And to know that it's okay to love on you, because it is. If right now you're feeling overwhelmed or overworked. Ask yourself this one question. When did you last care for yourself? When was the last time you showed yourself, love? When was the last time you showed up for you? I want you to think about that. Because I want you to recognize that it's okay to love on you. It's okay to care for yourself without guilt without shame and without feeling like you have to sacrifice something in order to do it. Caring for yourself does not mean that you are selfish or inconsiderate. Caring for yourself does not mean that you then do not care for others. You don't have to sacrifice, caring for others in order to care for yourself. You can do both. Because caring for yourself means you want to be the best self for those around you. You want to be the better version and best version of you. Because you know when you are your best self, then everything around you is going to be a lot more smoother, it's going to be a lot more loving, and is going to feel better for everyone involved. So it's okay love on you.
Ashley Brown 02:48
So today take time to care for you. I said today, I did'nt say tomorrow, I said today. Whenever you're listening to this, even if it's at night, take time today to care for you. Even if it's only a few minutes, take time to care for you today. Because it's okay to love on yourself. It's okay to give to you. Showing up for you, means you can show up better for those around you. Also, ask for what you need. When we love on ourselves a part of that is asking for what we need. And if you're asking for what you need, sometimes you might even be able to meet that need first and foremost. But if you know that you're not that you might need to ask your spouse, your children, your family, for what you need in order to properly care for yourself and love on you. And that's okay. And I also want you to recognize that it's important to give to yourself, what you expect others to give to you. So today, take care of you. If you've been thinking, I want to paint my nails, paint your nails. If you've been thinking I want to take a bath, take your bath. If you've been thinking I just want to sit in silence in my car and eat me some McDonald's french fries without my children over my neck, do it because you deserve it. You're worthy of it and it's important that you do.

So I want you right now to take a few deep breaths and repeat after me. So I want you to take a few deep breaths in through your nose. Go ahead and stop whatever you're doing, come on stop. Close your eyes, unless you driving keep your eyes on the road, but close your eyes. You can still take deep breaths even if you're driving. Close your eyes right now breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth. Again, in through your nose, out through your mouth. Now, what I want you to do is repeat after me. It's okay to love on me. Caring for myself allows me to better care for my family. I am better by caring for myself. Alright girl. That's it. I just wanted to encourage you today.
