We are getting a bit deep in this episode, I just want to be all the way real with you. This is the type of conversation I love having is getting really beyond the surface and getting deep into life. Right? Because life isn't superficial life is so deep on so many levels. And I want to bring that to the surface today. And so we're going to be talking about manifesting your desires. Use a routine. And I want you to know that there's more to routine than meets the eye. I know that how we primarily think about routine is for organization and structure in being proactive in life, which Yes, routines are all of those things and bring about all of those things. But I feel like there's not really much conversation on how routines can help bring to life what it is that you desire. And that is with anything in life routines can help you with that. I want to continue to bring this to the forefront that routines. As I've said before, in a lot of people have seem to resonate with that routines are the bridge between manifestation and fruition. And routines are that middle piece that connects the two. What I love so much about routines is that they spring you into action.
Ashley Brown 3:05
So as sometimes we are so focused on the what or we are so focused on the thing, that we are less focused on the process to get to that thing, we are less focused on the how to get to that thing. And routines, focus on the how routines focus on the process. And in doing so, they put you into action, so that you can bring forward what it is that you want for your life. And I'm here to share with you that you can make happen. Whatever it is that you desire, is absolutely possible for you is absolutely within reach for you. And you are absolutely deserving of it. So I'm going to share my story with you. And it's not going to be too long, but I want to share the origin story for routine and things. If you have never heard my origin story, it is the way that I came to have this business that I came to be able to do the work that I'm doing to help women and moms shift their life in such an impactful and beautiful way for you to consistently live your happiest life. Right? Not every so often. But consistently.
Ashley Brown 4:28
Routines ultimately brought me back to life and put me on the path to feeling like there's purpose here and I'm right where I need to be. So that story started when I went from being a full time working mom to a stay at home mom. And I did not know what I was getting myself into. Let me just tell you that I honestly thought I was going to be Easy i thought was gonna be easy. I thought that it was going to be easier than being a working mom and for all the stay at home moms listening. Yeah, you can go ahead and laugh. just laugh. It's funny. It's funny, I thought that it was going to be a walk in the park in this absolutely was not that transition totally flipped my world upside down, it brought me outside of who I was. And it wore on my mental health traumatically because what they don't tell you is that, that transition really dig deep into your identity. And it was I was other things going on at that time. But it really impacted my identity, it really show me that I put so much into one thing into what I thought was, and I just really felt like at that time that it was a huge struggle, like just managing my home was so challenging.
Ashley Brown 6:05
And it's so interesting, because when I was a working mom, managing my home didn't feel as challenging as when I became a stay at home mom. But that constant. That constant like reminding that is something to do in the home, wore really heavily on me and not having as much interaction with adults wore heavily on me. And also, I became pregnant during that time as well with my second daughter, her beautiful self. So the measurement of the home wasn't up to par. I felt like my daughter was just in front of the TV constantly. And that was not my intention. When I became a stay at home mom, I was so gung ho, I was like we're gonna do this. And we're gonna do this. And I'm going to be feeling this way. And that just was not life for me during that transition. And so it wore so heavily that I ended up getting really depressed at a certain time. And because I am a huge God, girl, God is my source. I leaned on God in that time, and asked God to really help me. And I felt like what God said was lean into who you are. Surrender. lean into who you are surrender. And when you hear that word, you're like surrender. It sounds nice. It sounds so nice, is harder, then just saying it.
Ashley Brown 7:42
And so I did though I started to lean to where I was, I did start there. And I knew that routines were probably where it was at. And although I am naturally routine oriented, and I know I thrive on routine, I just got really intentional about thinking about my routines. And I am here to say it was a bunch of trial and error for sure. But one by one. I started to build routines. And I remember starting with a self care routine, it was the morning routine. And I did a lot of mindset stuff back then for my morning routine because that's what I needed. And little by little routine by routine. It took time. Okay, it took time. But with time the clouds started to dissipate, I started to see the light at the end of the road. And eventually, I woke up. I woke up one morning I was doing the dishes and I have a window I can see off the back to the backyard and our backyard is beautiful. It's full of trees and greenery in nature. And I was looking out in the backyard at washing the dishes. The girls were just probably watching TV or playing or something. And I remember just thinking to myself hold up I'm at peace. Okay, like clear as day that's what that's that's what I said out of my mouth. And I remember thinking what got me here. routines.
Ashley Brown 9:40
Routines is my absolute favorite word and routines have dramatically made an impactful mark on my life. Even though when I think about it, I could cry because routines have really allowed me to get back to who I am little by little step by step. And so I want to share that with you because I want for you to understand that one, I know what it's like to be in the thick of it. I know what it's like to be in the middle. I know what it's like to feel like things are caving in, in that. You just might crack up. Oh, girl, I know what it's like. So I want to share with you that you're not alone. And you have the power to change whatever it is you need to change right now. And to head towards the desires you have for your life. No matter how big no matter how tiny, you can do it. I personally love writing. As far as journaling, I love vision boards. I love professing and praying for what it is that I want. So if they're in any way inspires you, go for it. But create a routine today. If you need a certain part of your life to feel better for you. Start and begin a routine because it can help if you want to better manage cleaning your home routines can be that bridge.
Ashley Brown 11:35
If you want a better relationship with your partner, routines can be the bridge. If you want to better care for yourself in a deeper way. Routines can be the bridge, there is so much power in routine. Don't ever forget that there is solution in routine. There is clarity and routine there is happiness in routine. There's reciprocity, in routine you can have what your heart desires allow routines to be the bridge. Okay, so that's that's what I wanted to share today. For you to know that there's far more than meets the eye when it comes to routines, and I want for you to experience this.
