One of my least favorite memories as a mom happened when I was a stay at home mom. This day in particular, I had so many things to do, I was behind on laundry, I needed to schedule my daughter a doctor's appointment, and the house was a mess. I mean, a hot mess. And funny enough, even though it's not funny, when I got to the end of my day, nothing had been done. You know those days. Thankfully, I had a God moment and realize I had fallen out of routine. Yes, this routine oriented girl had fallen out of routine. And honestly, it took me a while to get back on track because routines are always naturally falling into place for me in the past. But this was very different. I had to intentionally rebuild my routines one by one. And although it took time and patients, the impact routines had on my life was incredible. And I learned so much along the way. This is why I'm so excited to share with you that your girl did a thing.

Okay. Let's go ahead and get into today's episode, which is about the most convenient way to organize your life. Did you know that there was a convenient way to organize your life? I don't believe I knew this until some time ago. But now that I know. I'm so freaking happy. I am so freakin happy. So let me go ahead and just spill the beans. The most convenient way to organize your life is routines. Boom Booya. Did you realize I was gonna say that? Routines like hands down routines are the most convenient way to organize your life. What are routines? Routines are just an organized way of going about accomplishing a task or a goal. That's it. It's an organized way for going about doing something that's it. So it's the best and most convenient way to organize your life. I know I'm a little biased because I love routines, but I'm telling you it is I'm gonna tell you why routines are the most convenient way to organize your life. What makes something convenient? Right?
Ashley Brown 5:04
First of all, let me just start here. This was so interesting to me, I interviewed eight women, probably some, like, three, four months ago, interviewed eight women. Because I just wanted to hear from people in the community, women in the community to just hear about, you know, what are they about, like, what do they do? How many kids they have? What do they like about routine and things? And so I'm just doing this interview. And in the interview, I asked them about, you know, what stores do they shop at? And of course, 95% of them, say at Target 95%, seven out of eight women said, target. Now I said why target? You know, I love Target. And when I asked them why target, they said, because it's convenient. Every single one, every single one, seven out of the eight women said convenient convenience. So what this shows me is, convenience is important to you. Right.
Ashley Brown 6:01
So if convenience is important to you, I'm sharing the most convenient way to organize your life routines, use them in your life, use them. And what makes something convenient, let me break this down. One easily assessable. That's why when you're in Target, you're like, Oh, the tissue over here got this, I need to pick up some bananas, they got it too easily assessable. The second thing that makes something convenient, relatively affordable, relatively affordable. And I'm saying relatively because affordability is different from person to person, household to household, but relatively affordable, target is target is relatively affordable, right? Third thing that makes something convenient, it doesn't take a lot of effort to get it to make it excetera, it doesn't take you a lot of effort. It's right there is within arm's reach. You ain't got to sit up here and break your back trying to sit up here and get it or make it or creating or X, Y or Z.
Ashley Brown 7:08
Do you hear why I'm going with this? That's why routines are the most convenient way to organize your life because they're easily accessible. Do you have to go out to the store and get routines? Nope. Nope. A routine can be created and built like that. You do not have to go out to a store and get a routine. It's right there. It's right beside you right now. Just look over your shoulder. It's right there. Second, are routines relatively affordable? Yep, they're free. Free 99. Okay. They don't cost a thing. Routines don't cost a thing and take you to JLo for that one. But yes, they are free. Third, doesn't take you a lot of effort to create it. Does it take you a lot of effort to create a routine? Nope. Unless you make it like that. But that's why you have me that's why I'm here to help walk you through how to create routines. Because I want it to be simple for you.
Ashley Brown 8:09
Does that mean you're not going to have to have patience when your building a routine? No, you still have to have patience? Does that mean that your routine is going to be perfect once you start it? Nope, you have to give yourself permission to try again if it doesn't work. But that doesn't mean that it has to take a lot of effort to create or build a routine does not have to take a lot of effort whatsoever. Can be very simple. That's why the routine building handbook is here for you. So do you now see why routines are the most convenient way for you to organize your life? Because when you think about it, what are other ways that you organize your life physical organization by going out and getting some boxes from The Container Store, putting stuff in boxes, fixing up your pantry, that stuff can run you some money. And it's and within a week or two is all jumbled again. Right?
Ashley Brown 8:59
So I would say instead of going out to buy the Container Store boxes, create a routine where you can actually keep things organized in the boxes and bins that you already have. Just saying. Routines not only help you with physical organization, this is the key. This is the key, right? That's why routines in my opinion, Trump a lot of ways in which you probably organize now is because routines not only can help you get organized physically, you have routine helps you tidy up and get organized physically, right? Organize your home. Routines also help you get organized mentally helps to organize your thinking what's in your head. They give your brain a break. That's why I love routines. Because they're multifaceted.
Ashley Brown 9:54
They're gonna help you in multiple ways, a win win. I hope that you Picking up when I'm putting down I really do because I'm telling you, out of all the ways in which I've learned how to organize routines have been the most effective for me, and they are the most convenient. So I'm sharing that gem with you. Right? Routines Don't cost a thing. I used to want to be a singer when I was little. Anyway, anyway, okay. Routines are the solution to the problems you're probably facing right now. And I want you to remember this routines are the solution to many of the problems that you will face especially problems you're facing on a consistent basis. And they can be started conveniently right now if you need them to, right.
