Because I'm talking to you about where to start when you want to get organized in your life. But you're stressed girl, I get it. I'm behind this migraines in my head, I get it that getting organized when you're in a state of stress is very different than when you're not in a state of stress. It's a very different ballgame. And so I want to break this down for you in the simplest way possible. You know, I don't do anything but simplicity. So I want to share with you three steps that you're going to take three steps that you're going to take because if you're listening to this, I'm pretty sure you're trying to get organized, but you're stressed. So I'm going to share with you three steps you are going to take today.
Ashley Brown 3:12
Today, I even give you over the next two days. But that's it. The steps you're going to take in order to get organized and get on a path of getting organized. Okay, very excited about this. Because you know, the one thing that I always share with you is you cannot enjoy life of your stress from managing it. You cannot get organized if you're stressed. You can't. So this is an important episode for you today. Okay, so let's get into it. What steps are you going to take? These are the steps that I take personally, anytime that I am trying to do something, but I'm stressed. I'm trying to make progress. But I'm stressed. These are the exact steps that I take and so I want to share them with you. This is going to be a quick episode today.
Ashley Brown 4:05
The first thing you're going to do, right, you're stressed right now you're looking to get organized. First, you got to release the stress girl, you have to let go of the stress somewhat. That doesn't mean that all the stress just goes away. But you have to reduce the stress. Because when you're stressed you can't think properly. You can't. I used to be a nurse and a nurse at the bedside. I'm still a nurse, but I used to be a nurse working at the bedside and that's where a lot of mistakes happen is when we are stressed and we don't relieve that stress and then you go like get a patient a medication and you look at you like wait is the wrong daggone medication. Or you go into a different room and you scan the scan arm. Then you like wait this is a whole different patient.
Ashley Brown 4:56
You can't make intentional choices if you are stressed So that's why you have to release the stress, reduce it, ground and center yourself, get out of your head and into your body, this is really a great way for you to reduce stress is to really stop thinking so much. So you have to get out of your head, you have to really get into your body, I'm gonna share some things that you can do that can help you today do this. Deep breathing is one, everyone has the privilege of taking a deep breath. And that includes you. Deep breathing will save your life when you're stressed. Ask me how I know I do deep breathing every single day because I meditate every single day. And deep breathing is a game changer. Take deep breaths.
Ashley Brown 5:44
Also you can move your body movement is really helpful because it gets you in your body, get you out of your head, any type of movement and go for a walk outside. Oh, that will be beautiful, get some fresh air, go for a walk outside in your neighborhood, or at a park. Go ride your bike. Maybe you have a peloton or exercise bike in your house, go get on that, or go outside and ride a bike, go do some yoga or just stretch your body. Stretching does a lot for you as well for your body. So movement can be helpful journaling, brain dumping, oh my gosh, you know, I'm a fan of brain dumping. This is a huge component in the planner, I am a huge fan of brain dumping. Get out of your head into your life. Get everything out of that head, because what's in that head is what's driving you insane is keeping you stressed. Get it out of your head onto paper.
Ashley Brown 6:40
Yes, so journaling, brain dumping amazing. Meditation can be helpful and also getting fresh air. Like I said before, that's the first thing you want to do. First step you take reduce your stress by doing something that gets you out of your head into your body. And I give you some examples of things you can do. Step number two, look for a solution. Find a solution. Once you have gotten to the point where you've reduced your stress. Now you can think more clearly, if you're trying to get organized. You're trying to organize your life. Look for a solution is many ways that you can organize your life out here. You can do by organizing your actual physical space, you can organize your life, by building routines, you can organize your life by planning is different ways that you can organize your life.
Ashley Brown 7:33
Look for a solution that will help you organize your life. Shameless plug the routine and things planner helps you get organized and in routine, so that you enjoy the heck out of your life. Yes, I'm putting that in there, because that's exactly what it does. And it does it very well for you. Look for a solution, you need a guide. And what I mean by that is, you are the hero of your own story. When it comes to you changing your life, you are the hero, not other people. I'm not the hero of your story. You're listening to this podcast, and you're looking for suggestions, and you're looking for advice, and you're looking for insight that maybe will help you. But I'm not the hero of your story. I'm your guide. I'm here to guide you along the way, so that you get to where you want to be. But you're the hero girl.
Ashley Brown 8:29
So right now you need a guide. Find your guide. And your guide can be the routine and things planner. It can be other things too, but you make the decision you decide is your life. But you have to look for a solution. Because if you knew what to do, you would be doing it. So now it's like okay, what solution will help me get organized? Because that's what I'm craving. That's what my life needs. That is what we are in desperate need of within my family is us being more organized. So find a solution that will help you get organized. That was step number two. Now the last and final step. Can you guess what it is? Take action. Take action. The quicker you can get started, the quicker you can make progress and move beyond the stress.
Ashley Brown 9:20
The quicker you can get started, the quicker you can make progress in your life. You can move beyond the stress, you have to take action. Once you find a solution. Don't sit don't sit on a solution because what you're sitting on is your progress. That's really what you're sitting on. Find a solution then move forward with that solution. Take action on that solution. That is the quickest way for you to start to get organized in your life. Hands down nothing happens unless you take action change does not come unless you take action? Are you ready to take action in your life? Really ask yourself that am I ready to take action? Because you can do step one and step two of this. But nothing's going to change if you don't do step three, which is act on the solution that you find. That's it. That's all I wanted to share today.
Ashley Brown 10:10
Those are the steps I always take in my life when I am stressed. And I'm looking to make progress in a certain type of way. These are the steps that I take and these are the steps you want to take. Now, if you are stressed and overwhelmed in your life right now, life just is not feeling good for you. But when you look around, you're like, I should be enjoying my life because I have a lot to be grateful for. I have a beautiful home, I have a beautiful family, I have a job and I'm able to financially support my self, even if you're not working, and you're a stay at home, mom, you get to be around your beautiful children, you have healthy kids, but you're not enjoying your life. No, boo. No, because the one thing I'm going to help you do is enjoy the heck out of your life. That's the one thing I'm going to do. It's important for you to enjoy your life. When you show up day after day after day, putting your best foot forward, the fact that you're not enjoying life is unacceptable. You deserve to enjoy life, you deserve it.
Ashley Brown 11:07
These are the three steps reduce the stress, release some of the stress today, by doing something that helps you do that, then look for a solution that will help you get organized, then take action on that solution. Like I say I'm giving you today or you can even go into tomorrow, but after tomorrow, you haven't taken action on the solution. I don't know what to say I really don't.
