Hey, hey, hey! Welcome back for another episode of the Routine and Things Podcast. In this episode, I am going to be answering the question of, can you really stick to routines? I've gotten this question before. And this is something that I feel like even if you haven't asked this question like verbally, you've probably thought it, can you really stick to a routine? Or are you destined to get behind on routines or not do routines. Like can you really stick to them? And the answer is, yes, you can. Short and sweet. Yes, you can.

But first we have to define what sticking to a routine means, right? So my definition of sticking to a routine is doing your routine regularly and as many times as you need in order for it to be a benefit to you. So this does not mean every day and I've went through this before in the previous episode. Your routines do not have to be daily. Think about which routine it is. How regularly do you need to be doing this routine for it to meet your needs and to be of benefit to you and to serve you in a beautiful way? And so by this definition does sticking into a routine sound doable? Does it? Because in my eyes I feel like it does. If you're telling me that sticking into a routine means how often I need to be doing it in order for it to serve my life, that seems more doable for me.

And here's why you can stick to routines. Let me just give you the why. Let me just give you the why really quick. Why you can stick to routines is because you currently have routines that you do regularly now. So you are living proof that you can stick to a routine. Now I'm not saying that you're saying is the healthiest routine because maybe you have some some unhealthy routines that you do. But you do them and you stick to them every day or you stick to them regularly. So you are proof that you can stick to a routine. So yes, you can stick to a routine. Also, here's why. Because sticking to a routine doesn't require hard work. If you learn to create routines in a way that's in alignment with you and your lifestyle, you can more easily stick to your routine without even blinking an eye. But you have to know how to do this. Sticking to a routine is possible. You are disciplined enough. You have the choice to learn how to make your routines align with you and your life so that you can be more consistent. And so that consistency becomes easier for you. It's possible, it's possible to stick to routines and routines can work for you. Even if you feel like they can't, they can. They can work for anyone including you.
